Pendleton Water Park

We took a trip up to the Pendleton Water Park this weekend for a friend's daughter's birthday party. The kids had so much fun, they were exhausted and fell asleep on the ride home. Abby got her first try of a swimming pool too, . She lasted longer than I thought she would. So happy for the sun!

Union County Fair

Our lucky kids got to go to two carnivals/fairs this year! We made it to Oregon just in time for the Union County Fair. Both kids loved the rides and Sydney even rode the small roller coaster all by herself and had fun! We did get ride passes for Andy and I so the kids rode all by themselves. Wynn also loved seeing real goats. For some reason he thinks the word goat is really funny and was so happy to finally see what a goat actually looks like! We had a lot of fun and Sydney is already planning our visit again next year.

Paddleboats at Morgan Lake

We took a break from our house search and went paddle boating last Saturday. Wynn was so excited to be on a real boat and Sydney was  a good pedal-er. After paddling around for a bit Sydney wanted in. Eventually Grandma, Wynn, and I joined her. It was super cold at first, but we warmed up and had a lot of fun and laughs. It was a fun day! :D

We moved to Oregon

We recently moved to La Grande, Oregon. It was quite the event getting ready to move, but we sold our house in Alaskan d everything went smoothly. We are so grateful for all the prayers and help we received from friends and family. On our last night in the house, it was empty so we all slept on the floor and bid farewell to Alaska with an earthquake at 2 AM. Our belongings had to be packed into trucks and taken down the the shipyard and then loaded into a container, so we had nothing left. They headed out on the barge to Seattle the next week. We flew to Seattle and then rode in Grandma and Papa's RV the rest of the way to La Grande. The kids thought it was so fun to stop along the road and sleep in "papa's bus." We've been settling in nicely here in Oregon, and Sydney and Wynn are doing really well sharing a room. Just this past week Andy, Vic, and Maxine flew back up to Seattle to rent a U haul and unload the container into it. Andy flew back and Vic and Maxine drove the U haul towing Andy's car back to La Grande. We are SO grateful for all their help. Now our belongings are safely stored in a storage unit until we can move into our house at the end of the month if all goes well! So we've got 6 out of 8 times of loading/unloading our stuff done! Moving from Alaska sure is a lot of work.

Packing up!

 The "camping begins"

We all spent the last night on the floor

After Seattle in papa's bus

 Home sweet home for now

Container to U Haul transition

All done for now ;)

Abby grows

Abby has really "woken up" in that last two weeks. She loves to talk to people and has started saying goo and talking for longer periods of time. She still talks to her toys a lot. She likes to touch people's faces and is always chewing on her hands. She also likes to feel her clothes and blanket and pulls them up to her mouth. She getting good at batting her toys and can easily roll up onto her side, she almost made it to her tummy today. She loves for the kids to talk to her and cuddles. She such a sweet little girl!
