Andie's Prairie

The day after Christmas we went sledding at Andie's Prairie. We were a bit worried on the drive out there because the snow didn't seem deep enough but it was when we reached the summit! It was a warm and sunny beautiful day. Andie's Prairie Andy used to go sledding when he was a kid and it is a great spot! Its got a bowl so there are hills of all slopes and sizes for kids to choose from. Wynn finally enjoyed sledding and Sydney got very brave this year. She even went down the big big hill with Dad. They wiped out at the end but she was a trooper. Abby even got in a few rides herself. It was fun to have Audrey and her family with us. The
cousins had fun digging in the snow and riding together as well.

Sydney's 1st Dance Recital and Christmas Program

This year Sydney's is taking her first ballet class at Beckie's Studio of Dance. She is in the same class as her two cousins Kaylee and Emilee and our next door neighbor Callahan. They were very cute at their Christmas performance. The same week she had her Kindergarten Christmas program. They sang lots of songs and got to meet Santa afterwards. Sydney was excited to show Abby and Wynn all the things she had  learned. Abby loved Santa's beard!

Dads Birthday

Dad celebrated his 62nd birthday this Monday. I love my dad. He is a kind, loving man. I have fond memories of my Dad being silly and his bear hugs. He always takes the time to make sure everyone is comfortable and loves to play with the kids. I'm so grateful he's my dad :). Happy Birthday !

Wynn is 3!

I'll let the pictures tell most the story of Wynn's Jake and the Neverland Pirates party. He helped me make a treasure chest pinata in the days before his party and I was pretty proud of the results. We also made a tic toc croc, captain hooks hooks, treasure chests and got a big cardboard box that looks like a pirate ship for the festivities. He is such a sweet boy. He told me thank you four times for the pirate ship and asked if he could sleep in it. He's been a happy boy with it to play with. Almost wants me want to use the cardboard as a template to make one out of wood.... Wynn is still my cuddle bug and he reminds me how much he needs cuddles still. He is not shy about pushing whatever I am doing out of my lap and climbing into it. Then he grabs both my hands and warps them around his belly. It is so sweet that he still likes to cuddle. He is an awesome big brother and tries to help Abby be happy when she cries and he idolizes his older sister. He is starting to make some friends here in Oregon and it's fun to see him learn to get along better with other kids. He is in the 50th percentile for height and weight and a healthy little boy! We sure love him. Happy 3 Wynn!

Cheerios

Cheerio monster!

I just had to post how much Abby loves Cheerios. She tries to shove them in her mouth so fast they fall all over her lap and in her clothes. Whenever I change her I find Cheerios in her shirt and pants and she leaves a trail behind her of them wherever she scoots. But she happily cleans them up as she finds them too!

6 Months

At 6 months Abby is a busy girl. She army crawls all around the house, can sit up by herself, splashes in the tub, make all sorts of consonants, and loves attention. She is a cuddle bug and a very happy baby. She loves water, Nemesis and her siblings the most. She weighs like 15 lbs 4 oz and is
25.5 in tall. That makes her in the 50th percentile for both. She still takes 3 naps and wakes up only sometimes at night to eat. She has almost completely cut her first tooth on the bottom. And since I never posted photos of Abby's room, here it is. I was having a really hard time finding a picture I wanted to hang on the wall above her crib, when Sydney offered to help. She said she could draw a fairy garden so I picked the colors and she did. I scanned it and had it blown up like this! It'll be a treasured keepsake forever :D.

Eagle Cap Train

We had a lot of fun at the end of October riding the Eagle Cap Train. The kids were jealous after Andy and my train ride in Fairbanks so we took them to see this train on a special trip with a train robbery! They had fun watching out the window. We even saw a few black bear and some eagles. They thought that was kind of old news but when the men came up shooting off guns and riding horses they were excited. We'd all been prepped with fake money when we boarded the train so the kids had to give up their cash, but they were sneaky and hid a few under the table. I think we'll do it again maybe during the peak of the fall leaves season. It'd be beautiful!
