Fourth of July in Mink Creek

It is so fun that Andy can fly and take us on short trips to do fun things we're having a fun summer! We went to visit my aunt Jeanine and uncle Johnny for the Fourth of July. We flew over to Preston Idaho; they live about 20 minutes outside of it in Mink Creek. It was really fun for me to see their house because they kept their original toys and even their treehouse and trampoline that they had when they used to live in Highland Utah. Our kids got to play on the same toys that I played with at their age! Andy and Johnny had a lot to talk about since Johnny was a pilot by career for Frontier Airlines for 40 years.  Emily, Kevin, Brooke, Will, Grandpa and Grandma Pack were there the whole time too and it was really fun to see them again. Brooke and Sydney are really good friends and Will and W
ynn are learning how to get to get along better.
We went rafting down the Bear River and the kids had lots of fun. They got to meet my second cousins as well. We celebrated the fourth by doing our own fireworks the night before and then attending the Mink Creek celebration at the park. They had a candy bombing that was super awesome and lots of other fun relay games. The kids ate so much candy that wynn threw up after his final cupcake.

The Monday before we had a family home evening about the reason we celebrate the Fourth of July and I think the kids understood a little better this year because Wynn  kept telling people he knew it was America's birthday. It was a fun trip we hope to visit them

again.

Soccer

Both kids have played soccer this summer and love it. Wynn got to participate in the Pee Wee Soccer Camp and loved feeling so big! It is really good for him to get out and run around; he has been kind of stir crazy this summer. He is an energetic boy! His smile is so adorable when he is proud of himself and he is so sweet. He always shares his after soccer snack with Sydney. She has a hard time sharing with him but when he ran over to her after practice and immediately gave her half his snack before even taking a bite himself, she followed his example and shares her soccer snacks with him now too.
Sydney gets to be on a team with a lot of her friends which she loves. She gets better every game and even scored her first goal last night! I'm really proud of her because in the past she's always whined about having to run and do things that are hard, but she is really stepping up to the plate and learning to play/ push through now.

Shinsel Reunion at Bear Lake

The pictures show it all... and I don't have them yet since we're stilll combining! ...but the kids Andy and I had lots of fun at the reunion at Bear Lake this year. It was fantastic weather and beautiful. The kids are finally old enough to really get to know and remember their cousins and had a blast playing in the houses many indoor amenities like a trampoline, slides and swing set. The older cousins were sooo kind to play with the kids and they just adored them. Wynn especially loves his older boy cousins and they were so nice to take time one on one and play with him or sit next to him at meals. Poor Andy got sunburned really bad on our day at the lake, but we both got to practice our rusty wake-boarding skills.

I decided that Logan Canyon is the prettiest canyon I've ever seen. We drove it on the way up and back and on our way to go to the temple one evening. I love how green it was! Bear Lake was awesome and I am sure our family would like to return again.
