Snow finally!

Finally it has started to snow. I was worried we wouldn't even get to go sledding this year with how warm it has been. Even the base of Mt. Emily didn't have snow a week ago. The kids had a lot of fun sledding up on Igo road finally this Monday though when we had a big snow storm. We actually sled most of the time on the long road itself from the hiking trail parking lot at the top to the bottom of the road. Then we just drove back up the road with all the kids piled in the back of the truck. Abby was super brave this year and finally liked to sled all by herself. She giggled and giggled. On the big hill I had to hold onto her rope and try to sled next to her since she couldn't steer. It was a challenge but she had so much fun. She was the last one to want to leave and never complained about getting cold like the other kids.

100 Days

Every year the kids' school celebrates
when they get to 100 days of school by dressing up like they are 100 years old. Sydney wanted curlers and glasses this year. She was super cute! She said she liked that she looked "nerdy" and thought it was cool. I didn't think the curlers would curl her hair since we put them in on dry hair just before school, but she was super excited to see that they had when she got home. Lucky girl, that her hair curls so easily!

Library days

After school on Thursdays, Abby and I get to have a little date to the library each week. I like that they sing songs as well as read and then always have a craft related to the books' theme afterwards. This week all the books were about birthdays! Abby usually has some little friends there too. Khloe and Kensley were there this week and she gets to see them at church too, so that was super exciting! On the fourth Thursday of the week they have story time yoga. I was skeptical to take her at first, but it turns out she loves it. I like yoga too so its a win-win :).  Abby pays attention to the instructor really well and tries all the poses rather than getting silly and just rolling around. I've been impressed with her balance too. She can do a tree pose even... go Abby!
