Arizona

I can't believe we didn't any more pictures, but we got to go see the McNeills in Arizona for a long weekend. I had never been to Arizona and I thought it landscape was unique and beautiful. We had so much fun making yummy food, playing games, doing a mini Christmas and hanging out with them. The kids liked being able to play outside especially since we're in the middle of our winter. We glad they let us come and are looking forward to a longer visit sometime soon!

New pets

About a month ago, our sweet conure Shadow passed away. We all miss him a lot. We were able to find some new friends now. They are a pair of cockatiels named Ricky Bobby and Amanda. Amanda is the nicest one but Ricky Bobby is warming up to us as well. They like to come out of their cage and fly around the house and have already gotten used to us pretty well. We are excited to teach them to whistle new songs and do tricks if we can.

Maxine's Birthday

At the start of every year we get to celebrate Maxine's birthday with her. She loves chocolate and caramel so we usually make some dessert of that fashion. This year we also made beef enchiladas for dinner that were super yummy! Maxine is loving and easygoing. She wants everyone around her to be happy and is very helpful and patient. Everyone who meets her loves her and we are so happy she's ours. We love you Maxine.!

Snow Fun

Sydney

Sydney is growing up so fast. She got an award this fall for her reading. She's also been having fun with her activity days group and doing creative things. She loves to create whether it is art, writing songs, plays, stories or anything else. She loves it all!

Wynn turns 7

Wynn had a super fun birthday this month! All he wanted to do on his birthday was to play sports with his friends so we had a football themed party at the church. Andy helped Wynn make a football pinata and I made a tabletop football game for the boys to play. They got sweaty, tired and had a great time. Wynn is still very "engineer" minded and loves building things. His reading skills have really blossomed and now he is learning even more since he can read books that teach him how to do things. He has limitless energy and is playing soccer year round now to help him channel some of his energy somewhere.

Easter

I made these deecorations this year to help encourage the real meaning of Easter. I hope to use them in future years to teach our children about the empty tomb and the gift of Christ's resurrection. I really like how they turned out.
