Road Trip Part 2

On the way home we stopped in Courdalene for a few hours and then spent two nights in Spokane. We explored the river walk park by day and by night. It's a cute little town!

In Billings

While Andy worked, the kids and I had lots of fun swimming, eating treats, hiking, visiting the zoo, shopping and even white water rafting! Abby was so tuckered out by our rafting day, she actually fell asleep in the raft! Our guide said it was a first to see a child sleeping through class 3 rapids. We all loved it and I saw my first wild beaver!

Road trip part 1

The kids and I decided to tag along with Andy when he needed to go to Billings, Montana and make a road trip out of it. We stopped at some fun places along the way. After spending the night at Aunt Kims, we visited Craters of the Moon National Park.

Then we made a pit stop in Idaho Falls for the night.
The kids got their animal fix at Bear World. We fed bears, looked at moose and elk, and rode all the fun little rides.

We ended our first half of our road trip by driving through west Yellowstone. We stopped at some hot springs, sulfur valley and checked out the Bison in Hayden Valley. On to Billings!

Color run

This summer the kids and I participated in a youth cross country running group that met once a week. They all did super awesome and were eager to go. To celebrate the end of summer, the coach hosted a color run for the kids. It took me a solid week to get the green chalk off of Abby's scalp, lol!

Abby's firsts

Abby caught her first fish (It was a rainbow trout. It was the biggest fish of the day, so she was very very proud.) She also lost her first tooth. She has been anxiously waiting to lose it because her friends all seem to have lost teeth before her. She is so eager to catch up with her siblings and friends and wants to be big! Oh but stay little my love...

McNeill's visit

We hiked a lot during their visit. Our capstone hike was 7 miles round-trip to Hurricane Creek Gorge. The kids did awesome and little Lehi walked at least half of it by himself!!
