7th birthday bash

Abby turned 7 in May. She had been counting down to get birthday for about 3 months. She's so ready to be big like her siblings but I wish she'd stay little just a little longer. Abby is my cuddly buddy. She loves hugs, kisses, and cuddles. Her love language is definitely quality time. She'll pretty much do anything you want to do as long as it's together. She loves horses and dolphins the most right now. She likes to learn, read, and draw. She is a social butterfly and can make friends with kids wherever we go. She had a hard time choosing to invite to her birthday party because she had so many buddies. She wanted a horse themed party and it was a lot of fun!

Dallas

This year when we visited Dallas and my parents we did some unique things! Abby has requested that we go to a ceramic shop and paint something. It was super fun; even Grandma and Grandpa pack joined in on the painting fun.

On Saturday we drove out to the fort Worth stockyards. The kids got to see the longhorn cattle drive, a gunfight show, ride a mechanical bull and see some real cowboys.

We visited a nickelcade and the kids had so much fun playing all the games. It was nice that this arcade let you pay $2 for a thousand tickets so the kids weren't as focused on getting tickets and could play the games they usually wouldn't play that don't give out tickets.

We ate tons of yummy food and I found a new favorite place to eat in Dallas called legacy food Hall. Of course there were tons of cousin time play dates too!

Gratitude replaces grumpiness

Today has been hard day. Rather than list all the things that went wrong, I decided to try gratitude instead and think of the things that were good.

1 - The fields and hills are green with spring. The snow capped mountains in the background make for a beautiful drive to Boise.

2 - I was able to visit with lots of family while I drove.

3 - I enjoyed some special time with Sydney at a mother daughter tea party at Young Women's tonight.

4 - I got caught up on my work.

5 - The kids got to have a fun day at Grandma's.

6 - I had time to listen to General Conference on my drive.

7 - I get to celebrate 15 years of marriage tomorrow!

GOODNIGHT!

Abby's growing up

While we were in Texas, Abby got her ears pierced! She was very scared and want sure she wanted to go through with it after the first one, but she mustered all her courage and is so proud and happy now that it is done!
