Girls Camp

Sydney and I went to girls camp together this year with our stake. We were at a boy scout camp in Lewistown Montana. It was beautiful and we had a fun time!!

The girls each were asked to paint one dot sheet each. Then they were assembled together to make this picture of Christ. We were taught that even though it may not seem like we are making a difference or can do any good in the world, it all adds together to create something beautiful and bring people closer to Christ.

Staying with Grandma

Wynn and Abby had so much fun staying with Grandma and Papa after the Shinsel family reunion while Andy worked and Sydney and I went to girls camp. Their cousins Lincoln, Drake and Dorothy were staying there with Dave and Julie at the same time. Wynn and Abby and Dorothy are both only 6 months apart in age. They went to the Fourth of July parade, swam, picked berries at the Huntsmans, their other cousins, had ice cream and played at Grandma's. It was a highlight of their summer!!

Shinsel Family Reunion

 The Shinsels had their family reunion in Hurricane, Utah this year,  which is just north of St. George. We rented two houses that are side by side. The kids spent the entire time playing in the pool that had a waterslide and jumping ledge while the adults lounged in the hot tub and played games. It was an awesome time. After the family reunion, Andy, Sydney, and I flew home to Billings so he could work and Sydney and I could go to girls' camp with our church stake. Meanwhile, Wynn and Abby went back to Oregon with the Shinsels for two weeks. Dave and Julie's family were going back to Oregon too so they had their cousins Drake and Dorothy to play with the whole time. Wynn said of everything he has done this summer, staying at Grandma's was his favorite. He had a fantastic time!! 

Las Vegas

 

In between the Cancun trip and Andy's family reunion we spent a few days in Vegas. The kids loved the Blue Man Group show and the awesome pool at the resort.

Cancun with friends

We went to Mexico for a week with our friends the Murdock's. We stayed at the Riu Dunamar, and the kids had so much fun with their friends. We went snorkeling with whale sharks, visited Xelha - a water adventure park, and took Sydney and Wynn for their first discover scuba dive. It was account to have friends for them to play with the whole time and unlimited food and sunshine. I'm looking forward to more dives in the future!
