Snowpocalypse

Billings has had so much snow this year! I'm told it is the most they've seen in 15 years, and it has been so cold!! Our lowest temps with wind chill were -44*F. The kids have enjoyed playing in the snow a bit when the temperature warms up to above 0*.... Lol. It hasn't been so fun to drive on the roads that are solid sheets of ice for the past 3 weeks. 

Speech and Debate

Sydneys speech and debate season ended this weekend. It is her second year competing. Her event is called Dramatic Interpretation and she is required to take a published piece of literature, cut out parts to make it about ten minutes long, and then act it out. She worked hard all season practicing and fine tuning her speech for 8 hours of practice every week to complete in 8 tournaments over the last four months. This weekend she had her best performance yet and took 6th, making her the second alternate for nationals in July. She was thrilled with her progress this year and is sad to see the season end. 

Lego Robotics competition

Wynn got second place at the regional Lego Robotics competition last weekend! He has been working really hard on building the robot with his team, coding it and developing their innovation project idea. This year they came up with an idea on how to remove trash from the oceans. They were super excited that they got an award this year and are excited to go to state this upcoming weekend.
