Easter

We celebrated Easter this year on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we met some friends at Sunshine Cove and had an Easter egg hunt on the beach. Sydney and Dad got to paddle out to the nearby island and Wynn and I visited with friends. We had fire roasted hot dogs for lunch! Doesn't that sound fancy? Some of our friends had camped out there the night before. They have a baby younger than Wynn, so Andy says I don't have any excuse to not go camping this summer now. Sydney also got to color eggs and then put stickers on them. She thought that was fun. The Easter bunny didn't come until after church on Sunday, and Sydney was better at searching this time since she had practiced the day before. She hasn't been able to enjoy much of her candy however because she's been sick all week :/. Then we had a simple Easter dinner and a little lesson on Easter with some Easter eggs she got for her birthday last year. On Monday, we had done a little lesson about Easter so she could understand the basic concept of Christ's death and resurrection, so this time she wasn't as confused when we told the story again. Her Easter eggs helped keep her attention even more since there was an Easter related item in each egg for her to hold and try to remember what it means. It so fun to see her start to understand simple concepts and learn the basics of choosing right.

  1. We love to see the pictures and share in the fun things you guys do with the kidos. You guys are early with your picnics and outings, but what the heck.
Sydney is getting so grown up.
