Hot Tub and Haircut

We've been looking for a hot tub for a bit now. A month ago, we found one on Craigslist for FREE! They said they heater was leaking and we could just come take it away. Luckily the owner had a forklift to get it onto the Uhaul, but it took 8 guys to get it off the trailer and into our yard. Ever since we've been busy building a base for it and Andy ran the electricity outside/figured out what was wrong with it. It turned out the leaks were minor and easy to fix. We still have two minor repairs but as of Saturday its working and warm! We're all very excited and got our first taste of the fun this weekend. SO grateful to have a handy husband who can fix things and made them work :D

On a last minute whim yesterday, I decided to cut Andy's hair. He needed a haircut, but its way too expensive here in Juneau. I only took about an inch and half off to be safe. Luckily, we'd been given a haircutting kit a couple of years ago. I pulled it out, watched a quick blog tutorial on cutting hair and just gave it a go. It helped that Andy has long hair and a lot of layers because I could just copy what the salon does to my hair. I was surprised with how it turned out given I've never attempted this before in my life. I'll get an after pic to post later. HA! Just think, maybe we'll never have to pay for a men's cut again.

  1. Yay for a free hot tub, how exciting! I've been cutting Barry's hair almost as long as I've known him. It's scary the first few times, but it really is simple and you'll have it down to a routine in no time. I say if he's fine with it and you are too, keep it up, it will save a ton over the years!

  2. How great that you got a hot tub for free! All those electrical engineering classes at BYU paid off for you guys. We can't wait to try it out sometime.
