In Rudesheim, I opted for a 5 mile vineyard hike while Maxine rode the gondola up to the monument with Sam. We ended up hiking the a monument too because our tour group mutinied and wanted to extend our hike to the mountain top :). The Christmas market was significantly less crowded due to it being a small town, and it was easy to navigate. This town was famous for music boxes so we bought a bunch of those. We topped off the night with a visit to Siegfried's Mechanical Museum; its located in a house that was occupied by the knights of the crusades of the catholic church in the 1400's, and their paintings are all over the walls! Also I eat a lot of ice cream, especially with those amazing Amaretti cookies!
