Introducing Lily, Jack and Sparrow

I was over at Maxine's one day and I always like to look at her paper... she tries to "hide" it from me because I always find something crazy to do or buy in it. This time was no exception. There was a big ad for the humane society and these little guys were front and center! My dad used to have these when I was little and I liked them a lot. Since we didn't bring our birds from Alaska, we had planned on getting more after we got settled, but this was WAY better! I immediately called Andy to come with me out to the humane shelter and see them. He already knew what the outcome would be. They are super friendly and have taken to us really well. Sugar gliders are nocturnal marsupials. They have flaps between their arms so they can jump and glide to get where they want. They love applesauce and yogurt and bugs for treats. The kids like to catch moths for them to catch in their cage. I've been handling them enough so that I can carry them around in my pockets during the day. The mom's name is Lily and dad is Sparrow. He has already been neutered and we took their son Jack last week so we won't have to worry about a colony starting! They are fun awesome pets and we like them :).
