Fall Cleanup

She didn't really wanted to jump in the leaves. She said she just wanted to lay in them...

Trip Stage 2: Oregon

I do miss the fall in La Grande. When we lived there I remember driving down second street just after the bridge and looking up at the canopy of golden yellow leaves above and thinking I wish my family could see La Grande on a day like this. It was a great week to be in La Grande. Since we're used to Juneau weather, Sydney and Wynn didn't mind the fall chill... Sydney was ecstatic to see so much sunshine and play on dry grass/sand. We had an awesome time playing at Grandma's house. Both kids loved the yard, grandma's hot tub, and playing with their cousins. We got to visit with the Huntsman cousins a good amount this visit and really enjoyed it. Sydney loved spending time with Kaylee and Emilee. Running around squealing and dancing and playing with Grandma were their favorite acitivities. We visited the park, a pumpkin patch, ate lunch with daddy at his "old work," and even visited the children's museum in Pendleton. It's a shame I never went when we lived there because its an awesome little musuem only 45 minutes away! Andy and I also got to go visit with our friends a few different evenings we were there. It was really good to see them and their new additions. We miss Grandma Shinsel and Papa a lot. Grandma always makes us laugh and smile and Papa always has something neat to teach and show us.

First Haircut

About a week before our big trip, I decided that Wynn needed a haircut. I like longer hair, but it was starting to cover his eyes and he was constantly getting food in it every time he touched his forehead. My friend Rachel came over to help me. Even though I have cut Andy's hair, I was nervous since Wynn is so wiggly. Turns out he did great since I let him hold my phone. It wasn't my favorite cut, but I'll learn as I go :).

Preschool

Sydney has been in preschool for about a month now. She has a lot of fun. She likes that there are a bunch of different activities every day. It is so fun to see her improve at interacting with other kids. There are three rooms at her preschool, and her favorite room is the imagination room where she gets to pretend and create different crafts everyday. Today I got to go help at her preschool. It is a coop preschool, so the parents get to help on various days. I also signed up for to help with the pictures and yearbook for the year so I'll get to go on all the field trips throughout the year and help/take pictures. It should be a fun time for both of us!
