A friend of mine who is a photographer is participating in the Quarantine Porch Project to document families in their homes. She took some pictures of us the other day from her car!!

Sydney's Thoughts of Quarantine

   Being in quarantine with this Corona Virus going world-wide is proving to be hard. We can not see our family in person, and it seems like we can't go anywhere. It really makes one grateful for all of the technology that we have to talk to people long distance. I feel like I have gotten a bit more knowledgeable about my siblings, although they can be kind of annoying sometimes when they follow me around when I just want to be alone. Mom says that they are doing that because they like me and don't have any friends to play with, and I agree. It doesn't really bother me. Now that I am older, I have started to shift into a teenager, which means that I have gained a liking of  being alone in my room and experimenting with what eye shadow I think looks best on me, or which lipstick I like, or just getting better at putting the stuff on and figuring out what it's purpose is and when to put it on and what occasions I should wear it for. Then I normally try to match my clothes to it, but I think it's supposed to go the other way around, Clothes first, then make-up. Anyway, we have gone on lots of walks down to the church, and I am getting kind of tired of them by now. I just have this urge to go places, like to the mountains to camp. But mom says that it is still getting down to the 20's at night, so it is still to cold. I think the worst part of it all is that there is no more school for the rest of the year, so we can't do that auction at the end of the year with all of our points from the whole year, OMSI trip is canceled, and so is our cruise in may! Also, I miss my teacher. When school was first canceled until April, I was sort of exited because I wanted to try home school. It was pretty cool until the second week. I wanted to go back to real school and see Mr. Hendrickson, who is in our ward, which is really cool. I miss him so much!
