Wynn got to have two birthday celebrations this year. We had an early celebration with friends, the boys played a few games and some Minecraft, before Wynn and I left for Texas to visit his cousin Will for his actual birthday. Wynn and Will are great buddies and get along super well. They got to go to Legoland together, play at the park and do lots of late nights being silly. Grandpa Pack and I took Wynn to an indoor archery range one evening and he loved it. He felt so special to get some time alone with me and be able to spend time with his extended family on his birthday. Wynn is a grateful loving boy who thinks things through. He is great at figuring things out and super forgiving. We love him so much.

Halloween 2020
With the new COVID mask restrictions, all the kids chose costumes that already involve a mask this year. They were a cowboy, woodsy elf, and Spider Gwen

Mom comes again
Grandpa Pack went hunting with Uncle Allen, and Grandma came to visit again so she wouldn't be alone. We were excited to have her again so soon. I really enjoyed my time with her, and the kids had a blast too. I love my mom. She is loving, kind, silly, and full of faith. I appreciate all the love and kindness she shows my family.

Grandparents visit
Grandma and Grandpa were able to escape the heat of Texas for a week and come stay with us. Since most everything is still closed down due to COVID-19, we did a lot of hiking. We had beautiful weather and the leaves were just starting to change. I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of Grandpa with the kids. They always love spending time with grandparents and we're grateful that they could come visit.

Backpacking with Sydney
Sydney and I went backpacking for one night for her first trip ever. We hiked into Crawfish lake. She was such a trooper, and we had a really good time. Sydney loves being outdoors and had been asking for a while to camp away from any facilities. She thought it was so cool to bring all our food in, have to cook it there and also filter our own water. I think we'll be doing more backpacking in the years to come.

Homeschool
With all the restrictions and uncertainty around COVID this year, we decided to homeschool. The kids are really enjoying the one on one attention and activities we get to do now. In science we are studying mammals, and we do art and stem activities once a week. I think it's really helped the kids blossom and helped me know where they could use more help. K-3 are back at school now with restrictions so after Christmas we will revaluate for Wynn and Abby and see what we think will be best. A local photographer I know took our school pictures. They turned out great!

Road Trip Part 2
On the way home we stopped in Courdalene for a few hours and then spent two nights in Spokane. We explored the river walk park by day and by night. It's a cute little town!

In Billings
While Andy worked, the kids and I had lots of fun swimming, eating treats, hiking, visiting the zoo, shopping and even white water rafting! Abby was so tuckered out by our rafting day, she actually fell asleep in the raft! Our guide said it was a first to see a child sleeping through class 3 rapids. We all loved it and I saw my first wild beaver!

Road trip part 1
The kids and I decided to tag along with Andy when he needed to go to Billings, Montana and make a road trip out of it. We stopped at some fun places along the way. After spending the night at Aunt Kims, we visited Craters of the Moon National Park.
Then we made a pit stop in Idaho Falls for the night.
The kids got their animal fix at Bear World. We fed bears, looked at moose and elk, and rode all the fun little rides.
We ended our first half of our road trip by driving through west Yellowstone. We stopped at some hot springs, sulfur valley and checked out the Bison in Hayden Valley. On to Billings!
