Sydney was obviously not thrilled about her first hair trim that we got when we were in Texas. We had talked about doing it in the weeks leading up to our trip since it has never been trimmed since her birth. She had so many split ends it was a nightmare to comb out every morning. She did okay and is happy now that it is easier to comb out her "long Rapunzel hair" as she lovingly calls it. We only trimmed about 2 1/2 inches off of it, and I saved some of the blonde baby curls for her baby book because her hair is all brown now. I can't believe how grown up she is getting!

Christmas
We spent this Christmas break in Texas visiting my family. Christmas Eve was spent recounting and acting out the nativity story and Christmas playing with cousins and family. The kids had a great time even though Sydney was exhausted because she was so excited the night before, she woke up every 45 minutes saying she wasn't tired anymore! We are so very blessed to have family who loves us and to get to see some of them over this holiday. I am very grateful that my kids have a lot of cousins and get to see them every few years so they can have good relationships. Wynn especially latched onto his cousin Isabel and loved laying in her lap and playing hide and seek with her. They are sure missing the company now that we are home!
