Texas Trip

While in Texas there were two birthdays, Mother's Day, and our anniversary. This picture was taken when we were celebrating Mother's Day.

One of Sydney's favorite parts of our trip was playing in my parent's backyard with sidewalk chalk. Too bad I don't really have anywhere for her to do that at home :-/. One Sunday afternoon we all drove to Towne Lake and fed the geese and ducks... Sydney loves ducks.

Sydney's cousin Brooke loves her a ton! And Sydney always was excited when she came over to play. Here they are playing in the pool in the backyard.

One morning Andy and I took Sydney to the Dallas Zoo. I checked their website before hand to make sure everything would be open and couldn't find anything... but when we got inside they had the giraffes, elephants, lions, and rhinos all closed down for construction... BAH! Needless to say there were exhibits Sydney really got a kick out of; mostly the ones she could actually see. I didn't think before hand how she might not be able to see the sleeping monkey 50 yds away in a tree... oh well :/.
Sydney's like to play with toy snakes, pretend to be a snake, say snake... and kind of liked to see a real snake.
Kissing the fish.. Sydney loves to give kisses to everything and has gotten pretty good and making the Mwah! sound.
Hugs for the monkey

Another favorite activity at my parent's house... the pop up tent and crawl through tunnel. Hopefully I'll run across one at some garage sales this summer:)

And last but not least... we did a fair amount of swimming while we were there. We went to the indoor nadatorium twice, used my parent's hot tub and splash pool. Sydney still loves to swim and loves it even more if she can reach the bottom and walk on her own!

I have butterflies...

I have butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it.... I'm so jealous of myself for ever being able to live in such an awesome place but even more with such awesome people. Our year in Hawaii was an awesome decision and I am SOO excited to go back. However, I'm already feeling like dangit why'd we ever leave soooo I'm trying to distract myself. But I've got a countdown on my calendar, my blog (look to the right), my phone... haha. I just wish for a miracle so we can find a stable job and make it back there someday :). It'll be so much fun and Sydney's first time to touch sand and the ocean!! Hopefully she'll like it so we can start getting her prepped for scuba training in 10 years ;-). And yes I have pictures from our Texas trip to come...
