Birds

Introducing Kiwi and Bandit, our new pet cockatiels! We've been thinking about getting some for a while, and the kids both really like them. Nemesis has adjusted and almost all but given up on jumping that high (Sydney is standing on a chair in the picture). They are somewhere between six to eight months old and still getting used to the hustle and noise of our house but are getting more comfortable and noisy everyday!

Chair

Apparently all Wynn wanted for his birthday and Christmas was a chair. I thought he'd love this car track. He does... but he only loves to sit in it. My mom got him a really awesome Lego table for his birthday... He dumps all the Legos out and sits in it. Whenever Sydney rocks her babies in her cradle, he upsets her but dumping them out and trying to climb in himself. Then the other day he was strangely absent and quiet from the room for about ten minutes, so naturally I got suspicious. I guess a cup of water and a chair is all the entertainment this little boy needs right now :). It's not all easy peesy with his new chair fetish. He constantly wants to climb up and down the kitchen chairs, the couches, the stools... He sits down for a few seconds, smiles contently and then gets back down to try all over again. If I try to remove him from his chair he definitely expresses his discontent. At least I get to hear some of his new vocal skills though. On a similar note, he has started to say "isit?" for what is it and "ixit" for fix it... if something isn't doing what he wants. What a funny stage!
