Wynn has had a balance bike ever since he was two. He has gotten really good at it in the last year. He could steer and get going and then pick his feet up and balance for quite a ways. I knew he was ready for a pedal bike, but he was very reluctant. It took bribing him with cookies and the wide, smooth church parking lot to convince him to practice enough to learn he could do it. In about 20 minutes however, he had it down and was riding all around and keeping up with Sydney. He feels so big now because he can ride like Sydney. I was also very proud of Sydney on this day because she was very encouraging and cheered him on the whole time he was learning. She sometimes struggles to try to steal another person's limelight but on this occasion, I think she was the turning factor in motivating him to try and learn. When she said she thought he could do it and cheered for him, he really lit up and started trying hard. He loves to please her and get her attention. He definitely looks up to her and everything she does. I'm so happy I get to be home and help my kids through all the little milestones in life and see them learn and grow. It is a great blessing in my life and I am so thankful we are blessed so that I can do so.

Being big
Abby wants to be big like her siblings and their friends. It makes her so sad when they get to keep playing and she has to take a nap everyday, even if she can barely keep her eyes open or hold it together. She has gotten very brave this summer though and will keep up as best she can. She jumps on the trampoline with all the big kids and goes down the slides she can at the pool. Her favorite activity to do with them though is play in the "dragon pool" in our yard. She has so much fun swimming and never wants to stop. We're having a hot fun summer too so she gets enjoy a lot of what she likes best, playing outside in the pool. Besides swimming though she still amazes me with how well she plays with other kids her age. She has made many little buddies and remembers all their names and recognizes their houses when we pull up. She is so excited to play with friends. It is so fun to watch her grow up and gain confidence.
